Summer in Malta is one of the best times of the year on the Maltese archipelago. The weather is great, the days are long and there are plenty of events for every interest all summer long!
Here are the regular events not to miss in Malta this summer.
The Marsovin Summer Wine Festival
The Marsovin Summer Wine Festival is a great event (even if you don’t like wine!). The setting alone is enough to make your way to the Marsovin Summer Wine Festival. Set in the beautiful Hastings garden in Valletta, attendees can enjoy views overlooking the Valletta bastions, the yacht marina and Sliema harbour. Local bands play top hits in the different corners of the garden.
For wine lovers, there is a vast selection of over 30 D.O.K. and I.G.T. wines from Malta and Gozo.

Isle of MTV
The Isle of MTV concert is a free open air concert hosted by none other than MTV. Yes, you heard us right – it’s free! Confirmed performers this year include Martin Garrix and Bebe Rehxa with more acts to be announced!

Santa Marija Feast
The Feast of Santa Marija is Malta’s most celebrated Festa. We have to say you haven’t truly been to Malta if you haven’t taken part in a Maltes festa!
7 towns and villages across Malta and Gozo put up an excellent display of fireworks and a traditional Maltese Festa atmosphere. To celebrate the festa, pay a visit to the towns of: Hal Għaxaq, Gudja, Attard, Mosta, Mqabba, Qrendi and Victoria.
If you like fireworks you are in for a treat. The village of Mqabba holds a firework spectacular which are synchronised with music to celebrate the big day.

The Farsons Great Beer Festival
The Farsons Beer Festival is great for beer and music lovers alike! Farsons is the major beer brewery in Malta, producing the iconic Cisk beer of the Maltese Islands. The festival promotes local and international beers with a great line up of live bands and local artists!

The Malta Arts Festival
The Malta Arts Festival is a free event held throughout Valletta in some of the most cultural buildings the island has to offer. Attendees can enjoy and celebrate the arts including music, theatre and dance!

Triq Cinemoon Festival
Triq Cinemoon Festival is a free open air film festival that is held in Valletta down one of the charming side alleys. Sit on one of the cushions with your friends and enjoy the screening!
