What is the IELTS Exam?

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is designed to assess the linguistic competence of individuals who want to pursue their studies or further their career prospects. It is an important stepping stone to studying or working in professional institutions or universities abroad.

IELTS Exam Preparation at inlingua Malta.

The IELTS course at inlingua Malta has been running at a very good success rate for the past 15 years. Under the care and tuition of experienced trainers, students who want to improve their English to advance in their career or enrol for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at an English-speaking university will benefit from preparing for the IELTS Exam. We also offer IELTS courses in Malaysia for students there who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication.

Our intensive IELTS Exam course has students preparing for the exams, 6 lessons a day.  Unlike other courses, all 6 lessons are spent preparing for the exam.  Lessons combine both General and Academic English language skills and also exam techniques and tips.

IELTS Exam course summary:

6 lessons a day (IELTS Exam lessons, techniques and practice).
A total of 30 lessons a week

Duration: 4/8 weeks
Training: IELTS Academic Exam (General Exam training may also be requested)

Your trainer: Your IELTS Exam trainer is experienced in identifying your language needs and deficiencies in order to help you gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to pass your exam.

IELTS Test score system:

The IELTS Exam Scoring system ranges from Test Score 1 to 9. Most institutions require students to obtain a score between 5 and 6.5. The University of Malta requires a score of 6.5 for most Undergraduate Courses. Kindly check the required test score with the institution you wish to apply to and inform your inlingua IELTS Exam trainer upon course start.

IELTS Malta Exam Dates:

inlingua Malta will offer assistance in applying for your exam, given that you inform the Academic Department well in advance of the application closing date. The cost of the exam is EUR210, and candidates may apply online here.
