Tenor Joseph Calleja will be performing during the eagerly anticipated annual summer concert on Thursday 28th July at The Granaries in Floriana.
Italian legend Antonello Venditti and singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega will accompany the Maltese Tenor on stage in what has become an annual event in the Maltese cultural calendar. As is customary, Maltese talent will also participate in the concert.
For the fourth year running an agreement has been reached between the Malta Tourism Authority and NnG Promotions so that the whole of the standing area will be free of charge and open to the public. This will bring the Maltese’s Tenor’s voice within everybody’s reach allowing classical music interspersed with popular music to be accessible to the masses. There will be seated tickets as usual in front of the stage.
The concert will also include the participation of the Joseph Calleja BOV Children’s Choir and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Mro Steve Mercurio.
Joseph Calleja again expressed his eagerness to perform in front of thousands of Maltese music lovers who attend this concert in what he described as “the highlight of my season”. “Once again the repertoire will draw from both the classical and popular music fields and together with the foreign talent on show as well as the input of local artists, the concert will provide a musical spread that will please everyone and people of all ages.”
