The Royal Moscow Ballet “The Crown of Russian Ballet”, are among the worlds most respected touring ballet companies from Russia.
“The Crown of the Russian Ballet” was founded in 1997. For years of the existence the company has extensive classical repertoire. Company’s repertoire is based on classical ballets. Almost all heritage of the “golden classics” can be seen in execution of actors of this theatre: “Nutcracker”, “Swan Lake”, “Sleeping Beauty” by Tchaikovsky, “ “Gizelle” by Adan, “Romeo & Juliette” and “Cinderella” by Prokofiev, “Don Quixot” and “Corsaire” by Minkus, “Spartacus” by Khachaturian, Carmen, Tristan and Isolde, Gypsy & Kursk Songs. Gems by Petipa, Fokine, Gorsky, as well as lyrics by Pushikin, Esenin, Lermontov and music by Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky, Stravinsky will always be masterpieces. They convey eternal values to every generation.
The company consists around 120 dancers of the best Russian choreography schools graduates. “The Crown of Russian Ballet” has toured successfully in Russia and around the globe including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Great Britain, Canada, Germany, Finland, Luxembourg, India, Switzerland, Austria, China, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Israel, Japan, Sri-Lanka, China, Romania, Kazakhstan, Marocco, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates. In May 2006 “The Crown of Russian Ballet”, gave the first ever ballet performance in Eastern Africa.
The 35 professional ballet dancers will come to Malta in May.
